The Presentation Sisters, officially known as the ‘Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary’ (PBVM), is an International Religious Congregation founded in Cork, Ireland, by Venerable Nano Nagle in 1775.
We are a vowed faith community and an apostolic Congregation sharing in the mission of Jesus. Following in the footsteps of our Foundress, we serve the poor and the needy across the globe with missionary zeal.
As per a 2020 survey, approximately 2,000 sisters are active in 24 countries. Our vision remains steadfast: to work for justice and promote human dignity, especially among the disadvantaged and marginalized.
Indian Journey: The first Presentation Sisters arrived in India in 1842 (Chennai). The mission has since spread across the sub-continent, with our latest presence established here in Pachama, Sehore District.
